High Risk of Covid-19 in Saudi

Saudi Arabia is at a high risk of Covid-19. However,Covid-19 is a worldwide pandemic disease that was confirmed by the world health organization (WHO) on 12 January 2020.
Coronavirus’s first case was from Wuhan, China. Later on, more cases reported from all over the world.
On 2nd March 2020, the ministry of health confirmed the first case of Covid-19 in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
After that, more cases were confirmed in Saudi. On March 21, because the cases of COVID- 19 were increasing, the government of Saudi announced the suspension of national and international traveling.
However, the lockdown also imposed all over the country which in result helps to reduce the cases of coronavirus.
Covid-19 has a great influence on the economy of Saudi Arabia. The prices of the oil decrease which affects the economy of the kingdom very badly. And tax also rose from 5% to 15%.
Saudi authority announced the temporary suspension, to perform Umrah in Makka and visit the Prophet Mosque in Madina.
In July, only 10,000 pilgrims perform the Hajj because of following the social distancing.
But when the number of cases increases in Saudi the kingdom stops the Muslims to offer daily and Friday prayers to limit the spread of Covid-19.
In March, the kingdom suspends all the sports by closing the sports stadiums centers, etc.
However, the educational institutes, parks, restaurants, shopping malls pharmacies close, and all the social events such as weddings and funerals were also banned to control the increased cases of Covid-19.
Saudi Arabia allows Umrah for pilgrims
Muslims from other countries were restricted by Saudi authority to perform Hajj this year. Only the inhabitants of Saudi were allowed, but in limited numbers because of social distancing.
From the last week of September, the cases of Covid-19 decreases, because of preventive measures such as lockdown and curfews.
The Saudi authority allows to reopen the educational institutes, hotels, shopping malls and allows the other activities to regulate life.
From October 4, the kingdom allows the Muslims to perform umrah but by following social distancing.
Saudi authorities limited the number of people to enter Khana Kaba and perform umrah, to avoid coronavirus.
Muslims from all over the world are now very happy about the reopening of the door of Khana Kaba for them.
But now it is a must for everyone to follow the preventive measures, otherwise, the chances of speedy spreading of the virus are to a very extent.
High risk of Covid-19 Second wave in Saudi
The second wave of Covid-19 is now starting in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The reason for the second wave is, all the restaurants, shopping malls, educational institutes are reopening.
According to the ministry of health, on Sunday 363 new coronavirus cases report within one day. The number of corona patients in Saudi is 350,592.
15 more patients died within one day and 757 patients are critical now. The total number of fatalities is now 5,540.
Virus-related new recoveries are now 420 and the total number of recoveries is 337,386.
So, according to these calculations, the recoveries of patients are now increasing which is a good sign.
Measurement to Control Covid-19
Saudi’s can control the Covid if they follow the preventive measures carefully:
- People should wear a mask properly.
- Try to avoid direct contact with your friends and family.
- Take proper sleep.
- Maintain a good diet.
- Wash your hands properly
- Make sure to use sanitizer.
- Don’t watch too much depressing news about Covid-19.
- Try to busy yourself with home-based activities.
- Don’t take the stress.
